Finding the right wedding venue is the foundation for making your wedding day memorable. If you are not a traditionalist then rather than the safe choice for your special day why not look at a more quirky or funky wedding venue, to ensure a truly delightful day.
One place I have recently come across in my travels is ZSL London Zoo which looks like a fabulous and fun wedding venue especially for any couple looking for an unforgettable and meaningful animal experience!
The zoo can cater for a small intimate wedding party of 30 up to a large affair of 300 wedding guests.
Two suites at the zoo hold a wedding licence: the Grade II listed Mappin Pavilion and The Prince Albert Suite. Both suites have an outdoor area.
The zoo is a great place for wedding photographs with 36 acres of zoological garden along with 720 exotic species.
From the Mappin Pavilion there is a fabulous view of the emus and wallabies in their outback, and also of Regent’s Park.
The Prince Albert Suite is a very regal place to hold a wedding, with a great view of the Gorilla Kingdom. The adjoining terrace is a wonderful place to hold a champagne reception.
Though if you prefer to move away from tradition the Zoo’s world famous animal houses offer a unique alternative for a drinks reception.
You can choose from the Komodo Dragon House, B.U.G.S, Gorilla Kingdom, Clore Rainforest Lookout and Reptile House all with their very own unique experience.
By choosing to have your wedding at the zoo you will be directly contributing to saving the planet as profits go towards conservation projects around the world, helping critically endangered animals and their habitats.
Plus all your wedding guests will have an unforgettable day, including the kids!
