In the Asian & Indian Wedding Photography category at the Asian Wedding Fair at the Royal York hotel on Sunday 3rd February 2013 I have chosen to showcase a young Asian female wedding photographer.

I believe the Asian wedding photography of Bhavna from Upendo Images captures the wedding couple’s personalities and makes pictures come to life.

Upendo Images specialises in Asian and Indian wedding photography including, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh weddings.

For me it is a style of photography that I am looking for. I also go with my gut instinct and if I am happy with someone’s work, I am certain my client will be.

I have a very dear friend who is a Doctor of Psychology, and she maintains that trust, honesty, reliability and dedication are qualities I should look for in a person to enable me to source the very the best talent for my clients.

I always think a wedding photographer plays a major role in a wedding through capturing the wedding day atmosphere through the lens of a camera. Plus wedding photographs are the main keepsakes from the wedding day along with memories, so it is so important to make the right choice.

When selecting a wedding photographer just take a few moments to consider how their individual style will capture you both as a couple and how your personalities will be portrayed in your wedding photographs.

For example, if you are having a low key wedding celebration, a full on busy photographer who specialises in a less traditional wedding style may not suit you. Whereas if you are naturally more outgoing and are looking for something a little different for yourself and your wedding guests then a busy fun style photographer will suit you better. The best way to access a photographer’s style is to look at their portfolio of previous work and not just weddings. Choose a style that suits you both and go with your instincts.
